FIVE-YEAR SEPPELTSFIELD PORT CASK SINGLE MALT
Nose
A wave of ripe dark cherries, fig jam, and spiced plums, wrapped in velvety dark chocolate. Beneath the
fruit, whispers of cinnamon, old leather, and toasted walnuts emerge, softened by the lingering memory
of the port that once lived in the cask. There’s a touch of oak-polished elegance, with hints of vanilla and
dried rose petals weaving through.
Palate
Lush and full-bodied, the first sip brings an explosion of stewed red berries, caramelized dates, and
blackcurrant reduction. A silky layer of honeyed oak follows, rich with nutmeg and a touch of espresso. As
it develops, a warming spice builds—clove, star anise, and hints of dark cocoa—balancing the fruit’s
sweetness with an earthy, well-aged depth.
Finish
Endlessly long and satisfying. The warmth lingers with notes of port-soaked raisins, roasted hazelnuts, and
a touch of charred orange peel. As it fades, a final whisper of dusty oak and old cigar box rounds out the
experience, leaving an impression of age beyond its years.
This five-year-old single malt proves that time alone does not define greatness—it’s the journey, the
wood, and the soul of the cask that shape a whisky worth remembering.
